I’m a printmaker and a doctor and feel lucky to experience the best of both these worlds. I take my inspiration from the environment around me including scenes from nature and architecture, but also from film and literature. I particularly love entomology and mythology, as well as degeneration and decay. I always look for the human element and am drawn to humour and the eccentricities of life.
I enjoy switching between a variety of printmaking media to suit the image I wish to produce. I originally worked mainly in screenprinting but in recent years have embraced collagraph, photopolymer etching, polyester lithograph, monoprinting and tea-toned cyanotype.
I’m also a member of Richmond Art Society and Parkshot Printmakers and have exhibited at Bankside Gallery, Mall Galleries, Watts Gallery and the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. I have also appeared in Pressing Matters magazine as a successful participant in their colour challenge.
