Fiona Wallin
I take inspiration from a variety of sources - including coastal environments and the urban landscape of London - with a particular interest in the relationship between nature and the man-made. Colour and composition are important elements of my work - often using my photographs as starting points for projects, I like to combine bold colours with considered crops of my subjects to give small details or moments the focus.
I love the tactile, physical nature of carving and printing, incorporating hand-drawn and hand-painted elements into my work. I primarily work in screenprint, collagraph and linocut and am based in a small home studio in my garden.
I am a member of Greenwich Printmakers and have shown my work at the Ironbridge Printmaking Competition, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and have had my work featured in several issues of Pressing Matters magazine.
