Peg Morris RBA ASGFA
Since moving to the Surrey Hills in 2021, Peg’s work has focused on the landscape; in particular the ancient trees and trackways of her surroundings. A member of the Royal Society of British Artists, the Society for Graphic Fine Art, the Printmakers Council and co-founder of KAOS, Morris has exhibited widely including the RA Summer Exhibition, the RWA, the RBSA, the WCPF, Printfest, Bankside Gallery and the Mall Galleries. Peg specialises in etching but loves to explore different printmaking techniques.
“Come with me for a walk in the woods and I will introduce you to my favourite trees. Some of these veterans have quietly stood here for centuries. I walk between them, watch how they change through the seasons, draw them, talk and listen to them. I hope my closely observed images will strengthen viewers’ appreciation of the often-overlooked beauty around us and the need to protect our precious landscape.”
